Got a Bamboo graphics tablet for Christmas so I’ve played around with it listening to Coldplay. ^^ This is the result.

Trying something new here with a technique I read about in magazine. I’ve never used brushes in that way, because I’m not very talented when it comes to painting and I’d need to get a graphics tablet, painting with a mouse is not that easy. ^^

After two years of illustrating it was about time for something else and when I saw those beautiful photos I just had to create an artwork using them.

I’m a big fan of hakanphotography and he kindly allows using his photos for personal projects. These two shots really inspired me, I love the outfits, the styling, the model, everything’s just perfect. Of course you get a little Lady Gaga feel looking at them and the crows are actually taken from a black and white shot of her wearing it as a headpiece.

I created this wallpaper for contest with the theme “Cute”. I thought that was the perfect theme for me. :) Initially I only had the kitty character, but I thought that was boring, so I’ve added a little twist. ^^

The message of the wallpaper is Love knows no bounds. Race, age, sex, (level in the food chain :)) it all doesn’t matter as long as you love each other. My boyfriend is 16 years older then me and some people just think we’re not supposed to be together because of the age difference. Next week we’ll have our 9 year anniversary…:)

So for the cat and the mouse: as long as the heart is bigger then the hunger, they’ll be fine. :)

My boyfriend has been self-employed for a while now (he’s doing renovations, reconstructions, repairs, maintenance work etc.) and initially we came up with that Doctor House concept, but quite frank he couldn’t really identify with that, so we thought of a new name, new logo, new everything and here’s the result (means “The Renovator”):

Gosh, I thought I’ll never ever finish this wallpaper. Actually I’ve completed the monkey a couple of weeks ago, but I just couldn’t come up with a cool background. Initially I wanted it to look as if the monkey is hanging on the wallpaper tearing it down, but that just looked crappy. So whatever, now he’s hanging on a liana, guess that’s what he’s supposed to do anyways. :)

Harry and Asli are dear colleagues of mine who are getting married in May this year. They’ve asked me to create a Wedding Website for them and as I never did something like that before, of course I was up for it. Asli loves purple, so the color choice was easy. ;) I didn’t want it to get to cheesy, so I’ve tried to keep it simple.

The photo is just a placeholder and will be replaced with a photo of Asli and Harry of course. ;)

My boyfriend is just getting self-employed and I came up with a logodesign for him which wasn’t easy cause he know exactly what the DOESN’T want. ;)

He’s doing renovations, reconstructions, repairs, maintenance work etc.

We came up with the name “Doktor Haus” which means “Doctor House” (you would have guessed), therefore the house and the green cross, but actually we decided not to use that name, because Doctor House is in a nuthouse this season. Haha….doesn’t inspire much confidence among potential customers. :) So we’ve changed the name and the logo, will post soon.

I’ve created this artwork for a PDF Magazine called Revolutionart. The theme of the issue was “What’s hot?”. Well, for me Rock Music is hot, so that’s what my artwork is about…:) Stock from Scary Mary.

The title was inspired by a Song called “Into Dust” by Mazzy Star. I really loved this song at that time. :)
